    Supremacy SEO is showing malware!

My guess is that Travis has a vulnerable version of timthumb (that’s how most everyone using WP gets hacked).

Let me know if you need help cleaning out your site.

Thanks Matt, you’re a freakin’ boss man. I think Travis’ site is probably down b/c the LBP is linking to it. We are some shady mo-fos ’round here.

Thanks for the heads up. Malware is gone, just getting it resubmitted to google now to get the green light. Also, Big thanks Matt!

I had that same tim thumb vulnerability before. Switched to WP engine so now they deal with all of that bs.

Please, record these podcasts a little bit louder. I don’t know if I’m the only one having this problem, but I can hardly hear the LBP when I’m outside because the sound is very low. It doesn’t happen with other podcasts.

    • http://www.tropicalmba.com Dan

Noted on that Cristina, appreciate the heads up… we are going to fix this episode and try not to let it happen again.

        Thanks Dan!

FYI this episode should be fixed now. Sorry about that.

Very timely episode. I just launched my new niche directory website (built with Ruby on Rails) and I’ve been researching a lot of different SEO tactics. It’s not much to look at right now but you can check it out at: http://www.environmentalmanagementdirectory.com

I’m a total SEO noob, but I get the feeling that good content and organic traffic will always trump the more “black hat” methods.

    • http://www.tropicalmba.com Dan

Agreed Frank, this stuff isn’t worth touching if you are just getting started with a new site or a long term brand. I”m working on an episode right now called “THE ONLY SEO STRATEGY THAT ALWAYS WORKS!!!” :D and i’ll outline my major wins over the last 5 years and how it’s always with the same strategy (in a nutshell, consistent and keyword focused content proliferation).

What’s the primary way Travis generates revenue on these niche sites? Adsense? Affiliate?

    • http://www.tropicalmba.com Dan

      Travis manufactures his own products.
